TradeGateways.com
Featuring the Agentic Silk Road
Interoperability • MLETR-Aligned Readiness • Independent Verification
Proposition & Overview
Providing the International Chambers of Commerce with a live, federated environment in which digital-trade interoperability, trust, readiness and resilience can be exercised across independently operated Trade Gateways, Chambers, businesses, AI Agents and enterprise systems.
AI Trade Gateways
Federated Trade Gateways providing an environment in which Trade AI Agents, can be connected.
Federated Trade Nodes
The Agentic Silk Road is operated as a federated network of independently operated geographic and vertical Digital Trade Nodes:
- TheSilkRoad.Trade: Provides the human-facing representation for network exploration.
- TradeGateways.com: Provides the machine-facing topology through which authorised AI Agents discover and traverse Nodes, capabilities, relationships and Canonical AI Endpoints.
- Initial Gateway Pair:
NorthernIreland.Trade(offering a UK/EU goods-trading context under the Windsor Framework) paired withRotterdam.Trade(a complementary EU port and international logistics environment).
Federated Reference Architecture
The architecture separates discovery, local gateway operation, conformance, readiness assessment and execution. Topology and endpoint resolution are shared, while Trade Gateways, trust issuers, and enterprise systems remain independently operated.

Roles, Trust & Institutional Boundaries
Each component has a different role.
| Component | Primary Question | Boundary / Role |
|---|---|---|
TradeGateways.com |
Where are the relevant geographic and vertical Nodes and capabilities? | Machine-facing topology; not central operation of local gateways. |
AIEndpointsRegistry.com |
Where is the authoritative machine endpoint? | Canonical AI Endpoint resolution. |
NorthernIreland.Trade / Rotterdam.Trade |
What local trade capabilities and context are available? | Independently operated geographic gateways with common manifests. |
Chambers |
What can the Chamber legitimately validate or attest? | Validate, attest, steward and onboard within existing authority. |
Verified.Direct |
What independently issued trust evidence exists, who issued it, and is it current? | Federated trust/evidence resolution; does not originate every assertion. |
Endpoints.Team |
Does the endpoint technically conform? | Manifest, schema, accessibility and interoperability conformance. |
MLETR.com |
What machine-verifiable MLETR-aligned readiness evidence exists? | Readiness assessment only; no final legal determination. |
| Qualified authority / legal assessment | What is the legal effect in the relevant jurisdiction? | Legal/regulatory determination remains outside autonomous agent assessment. |
| Enterprise execution | Is the workflow authorised and executable? | Governed orchestration across enterprise, logistics, finance and settlement systems. |
Verified.Direct — Operating Principle
Verified.Direct should verify and resolve the provenance, and status and accessibility of participating AI Agents.
Belfast → Rotterdam Execution Flow
A end-to-end traversal sequence across the trade topology for an initial operational pairing:
Authorised Enterprise Agent
Purchasing AI Agent initiates trade request.
Discovery & Capability Resolution
Discovers via TradeGateways.com and locates NorthernIreland.Trade specialist agents for business and product discovery.
Trust & Conformance Validation
Resolves trust evidence via Verified.Direct, endpoint locations via AIEndpointsRegistry.com, and technical conformance via Endpoints.Team.
Logistics & MLETR Assessment
Engages Rotterdam.Trade for port/logistics/EU capability and executes MLETR.com readiness assessment if electronic transferable records are involved.
Governed Execution & Evidence
Triggers governed enterprise execution resulting in machine-auditable transaction evidence.
Strategic Rationale & Assurance framing
The Role of Belfast: Reflects the Windsor Framework context for goods (UK/EU single-market alignment) alongside established regional capabilities in cybersecurity, secure AI, and data innovation through Queen’s University Belfast’s Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT), its Cyber-AI Hub, and Momentum One Zero.
Governance, Security & Assurance: Operates as a cross-cutting layer across discovery, agents, trust/evidence, and execution. Tests agent identity, current authority scoping, message integrity, policy limits, human-escalation triggers, and auditability.
Trusted Trade Gateway Profile: NorthernIreland.Trade acts as the first reference implementation combining Gateway Manifests, Canonical AI Endpoints, Chamber attestations, cybersecurity controls, responsible-AI policies, and audit/provenance profiles reusable by other Chambers.
Canonical AI Endpoints — 12-Agent Capability Layer
A demonstrator capability set of specialist agents acting as a centralized resource across Trade Gateways. Geographic nodes discover, route to, and combine these capabilities while retaining local context.
