Canonical AI Endpoint Network
An Operational Framework for Trusted Agentic Commerce
Trade Gateways • Canonical AI Endpoints • Trusted Agentic Commerce
1. Purpose & Core Architecture
This document establishes the operational framework for a federated network of Trade Gateways, Canonical AI Endpoints, accredited AI and specialist service providers, Chambers of Commerce, and enterprise users. The network enables enterprises and SMEs to discover, invoke, and manage specialist AI-enabled services through persistent Canonical AI Endpoint identities.
Five Fundamental Questions of Agentic Commerce
| Question | Addressed / Governed By |
|---|---|
| Who is acting? | Verified.Direct |
| What commercial object is being discussed or acted upon? | GTINToken™ and associated product identity services |
| What evidence supports provenance, certification, or ethical-source claims? | EthicallySourced™ and associated evidence services |
| What is the AI agent permitted to do? | Agentic-AI.Team |
| Who is capable of performing the required specialist service, on what terms and to what standard? | Outsourcing.Center and accredited provider ecosystem |
Architectural Separation
The Network strictly separates identity, authority, product/commercial-object identity, evidence/provenance, specialist AI capability, provider implementation, and commercial settlement. This allows underlying providers and technologies to evolve without requiring the Canonical AI Endpoint itself to change.
2. Network Architecture
The operational flow connects demand, trust governance, registries, identity, endpoints, and commercial providers:

3. Principle of the Canonical AI Endpoint
A Canonical AI Endpoint is a persistent service identity representing a defined specialist capability (e.g., manufacturer.team represents manufacturer discovery and production capability intelligence rather than a specific vendor software product).
Three Distinct Identities
| Identity Level | Example URI / Identifier | Operational Description |
|---|---|---|
| 3.1 Canonical Endpoint Identity | agent://manufacturer.team |
Identifies the specialist capability requested by the Network. |
| 3.2 Provider Identity | provider://outsourcing.center/provider-name |
Identifies the accredited company or organization delivering the service. |
| 3.3 Implementation Identity | manufacturer.team/provider-name/manufacturer-agent/v3 |
Identifies the technical implementation used to perform the work. |
Mandatory Audit & Transaction Metadata
Where technically practical, every transaction or result records:
Endpoint Operator
Service Provider
Implementation
Orchestrating Agent
Requesting Organisation
Verification Status
Evidence Sources
Time & Date
Work-Unit Reference
4–10. Core Network Infrastructure Roles
The network operates through a division of specialized platforms working in concert:
4. TradeGateways.com (Demand Layer)
Primary access layer that connects users with regional/sectoral gateways and invokes authorized AI services. Gateways can be geographic (e.g., NorthernIreland.Trade) or sector-specific (e.g., Textiles.NorthernIreland.Trade, Coffee.NorthernIreland.Trade).
5. AIEndpointsRegistry.com (Discovery & Reference)
Functions independently from AI vendors as the central discovery layer, hosting service catalogues, accredited provider rosters, SLA classifications, verification requirements, and AWU pricing rules.
6. Agentic-AI.Team (Trust & Permission Orchestration)
Governs agent permissions, orchestration, policy enforcement, and human oversight.
Permission Levels:
- Level A — Information: Search, retrieve, analyse, summarize.
- Level B — Preparation: Prepare RFQs, documentation, draft communications, recommendations.
- Level C — Controlled Communication: External communications within defined rules and verified providers.
- Level D — Transaction Preparation: Assemble transaction docs, commercial terms, counteroffers, route for approval.
- Level E — Authorised Execution: Executing defined actions under explicit delegated authority and required human approval.
7. Outsourcing.Center (Commercial & Provider Market)
Manages provider recruitment, qualification, accreditation, commercial terms, pricing, SLAs, and performance monitoring. Permits multiple providers to compete behind a single Canonical AI Endpoint.
8. Verified.Direct (Identity & Authority)
Establishes who an organization is, who represents it, which agent acts on its behalf, and whether instructable authority is legally attributable to an authorized entity.
9. GTINToken™ (Commercial Object Identity)
Provides machine-readable product and SKU identity for precise matching, component substitution, lifecycle tracking, and structured RFQs across endpoints like components.team and semiconductors.team.
10. EthicallySourced™ (Evidence & Provenance)
Assembles, structures, and exposes verifiable evidence including certifications, ESG data, region of origin, independent audits, and expiry dates to support responsible trade.
11. The Trusted Trade Object Model
The integrated chain of evaluation before final execution:

13–14. Governance & Provider Accreditation
13. Endpoint Operator Licence Model
Operators receive commercial rights to develop specific service categories (e.g., recruiting providers, maintaining SLAs, supporting Chamber distribution). Operators do not acquire unrestricted control over underlying network trust, Agentic-AI.Team governance, or registry infrastructure.
14. Provider Accreditation Criteria
All service providers must satisfy rigorous qualification standards:
2. Capability Confirmation
3. Technical API/Agent Integration
4. Security Assessment
5. Commercial Terms & SLAs
6. Evidence & Audit Metadata
7. Continuous Performance Monitoring
15–16. Ecosystem & Distribution Partners
15. Role of Chambers of Commerce
Chambers participate directly across five operational pillars:
- Demand Aggregator: Introducing services to business members.
- Regional Gateway Partner: Operating or supporting regional Trade Gateways.
- Verification Contributor: Supplying local evidence on business existence and exporter status.
- Human Expertise Network: Connecting trade specialists, export advisers, and procurement experts.
- Revenue Participant: Receiving agreed revenue shares from subscriptions and usage.
16. IBM Auto Deal Share Integration
Deployable as a service ecosystem within the IBM Auto Deal Share framework, enabling existing enterprise AI, data, and trade tools to become discoverable without abandoning legacy channels.
